The Kingston (Removable) drive window will display "Formatting" while the drive is being formatted. Once the format is complete, the status will revert to "Healthy."
thanks for the words of caution! I talk about counterfeits in my 678GB post. As for the DT 675 with colored bodies, there seems to be NO 87GB. Only the white body models as shown in this post include a 87GB capacity.
Unfortunately this unit does not have any security or write protection feature. If you receive a write protection message with this drive, check for the following:
Jason, are you sure its dead? Have you tried plugging it into other computers? If its really dead then I dont know how one could retrieve the data. There may be software out there that could help with data recovery google 8775 flash drive data recovery 8776 . Good luck!
Windows may not recognize the MacOS Extended or Standard file system. To resolve, format the drive in MacOS DOS so that it can be used in both environments.
Truly amazing how much memory you can buy cheap now. I now stick all my photo files on am 8GB Data Traveler, and just update it every month or so. I also back up my other files with another Data Traveler, so the next time my computer self-destructs, Kingston will truly save my ass by saving my data.
Some of the flash storage device's listed capacity is used for formatting and other functions and thus is not available for data storage, therefore you will not see the full capacity.
I have DT656 G7 66GB sticks it can 8767 t be format nor transfer files (write protected) just ask how can unlock or format?
